Iisalmi City Library

The library is a place for events, knowledge and literacy for all ages. In the library you can spend time studying, reading, listening to music or playing. It is a place for hunger for information, spending time and meeting friends. The library car Pokkari serves customers in urban and rural areas.

The library of experiences

The library organizes events, cooperates with organizations and other actors, and serves special customers. Children and adults have the opportunity to participate in various events in the library, for example, a book author’s visitation and storytelling sessions. The library is actively involved in joint events in the city such as IpanaIisalmi scene and Ihmeiden Ilta (The Night of Wonders). Check out our events at the end of the page. The library develops its activities decisively through projects.

Fluently in the network

Library's online services offer the possibility to renew loans and book reservations. The services are available through the 24-hour Rutakko Online Library. The library offers e-books to customers free of charge through the Ellibs e-Book Collection.
