Childcare

Childcare is provided by nurseries or childminders on a full or part time basis, according to the needs of each family. There are 14 community nurseries and about 70 childminders working in their own homes in Iisalmi. Nurseries are open from 6.30–17.00 (18.00 if needed). Round-the-clock childcare is available at the Malminranta nursery. A plan of early education and care is made jointly by parents and carers and reviewed at least once a year.
